There Are Two Courts That Deal With the Establishment of Paternity
Video Transcribed: I’m the Tulsa FATHERS RIGHTS Lawyer. I’m here to answer some questions for you, regarding what a paternity court is.
Well, there are actually two courts that deal with the establishment of paternity, which could be conducted in either DHS Administrative Court or in a District Court in your local county, or where the county is actually local to the child.
So in the DHS Administrative Court, only the establishment of paternity and child support can be awarded. So for fathers, you cannot establish custodial rights or visitation rights to physical custody in an Administrative Court.
However, in the local county court of your child’s residence, you may establish custodial rights and/or physical custody rights to your child.
This has been a Fathers Rights Lawyer in Tulsa, here talking to you a little bit about what a paternity court in Oklahoma is. If you’ve got any questions, give us a call.
