Today, I want to answer the question, what is a protective order in Oklahoma? Well, a protective order is an order issued by the court on an emergency basis in order to prevent physical harm to one or more persons.
Generally speaking, these are granted in most cases based on an affidavit, regardless of whether or not those claims inside of that affidavit are actually true. So, a protective order will prevent any person who is named as a defendant from contacting any of the persons identified as protected parties.
