Get More Physical Custody of Your Child
Video Transcribed: Hi, I’m a father’s rights attorney in Tulsa, and I’m here talking about fatherhood and father’s rights. We do get a lot of questions here at the Dads.Law about father’s rights, one of them being, “How do I not pay child support?” Well, that is a tricky question.
And frankly, there’s not a really good answer for that. Child support is deemed to be an essential part of being a parent in relationships that are not still together.
But one way that you can reduce or not pay child support is to fight for more physical custody of your child.
I’ve spoken about Child Care Credits in earlier videos, and Child Care Credits reduce the amount of child support you pay.
That means that if you’re receiving more overnight visitation, your child support will go down. It doesn’t matter at all unless you’re receiving at least 121 overnight visitations.
